Running 5.2.17; do I need to update?

I'm running version 5.2.17, but when I log in the Spotlight still tells me a security update is available. Must I updalte to version 5.3.6 for security reasons, or am I ok?

Version 5.2.17 was the latest in the 5.2 series, and should be up to date as far as security patches are concerned. However, the 5.2 series is end of life, so you will not get any more patches for it. This means if a vulnerability is found, and a security patch is released, it will be released for 5.3.x, and not for 5.2.x. You would find yourself having to quickly upgrade, if the vulnerability was found in 5.2.17 as well.
