Problems with Paypal Subscriptions, Adding Funds, and Invoices being sent to customers

Hello All,

 

I have some questions that I am hoping you all may be able to help me out with. I currently am using Paypal and have selected the "Force Subscriptions" option selected. The problem is that once a customer signs up and the invoice date comes it send him an invoice email to pay. The customer then clicked on the Paypal pay icon and pays the invoice, AND THEN the subscriptions comes through and the customer pays twice. The extra money is added under "Funds".

 

How can I prevent this from happening? I have hundreds of customers paying twice...

Hi,

This is about educating your servers not to send a payment when they already have a subscription in place. You can change the wording of the invoice emails depending upon whether a client has a PayPal Subscription or not: http://docs.whmcs.com/PayPal#Customising_Invoice_Emails_for_Subscriptions
