Issue creating servers

Hey all,

Well I hope you can help me on this issue, it's been a couple days now since I've tried to set up the server, but for some reason I don't seem to be getting any where with it...

Any who, I tried creating a server via 2 servers (web hosts of course)

The first one (I have limited control over it IE cannot make alterations to firewall etc) when I attempt to create a server it gives the following error: 1 - Curl Error: couldn't connect to host

And the second host I have full control on comes up saying: An unknown error occurred while connecting

I have tried the following methods:

Re-Installing TCAdmin2

Temporarily disabling the firewall on the server in question

Probably a few more, just can't think of 'em :c

Any who, any help is appreciated, as I have ran out of ideas, and my providers aren't very chatty...

  • WHMCS Support Manager

Hi,

The first error suggests something is blocking the connection between the WHMCS server and the remote server (ie. firewall).

The port being used depends upon the module in use but for cPanel it would be 2086/2087, Plesk 8443, DirectAdmin 2222, etc... open for inbound and outbound connections on both the server WHMCS is installed on and the remote server being connected to. Please contact your server admin/hosting provider to open those ports.

We are unable to support modules that are not included with WHMCS as standard, but this should help your troubleshooting: http://docs.whmcs.com/Troubleshooting_Guide#Module_Command.2FRegistrar_Error
