Admin area blank... checked docs, no joy. No errors in error_log

I provisioned a VPS last night and I followed roughly the following steps.

 

1. Installed IONCUBE loaders. Verified with helper script.

2. Unpacked WHCMS. Renamed to client-area. Ran install script through to the end. Deleted install folder.

 

Now my client-area works fine, and my admin login is fine. But once I login I get a blank white page.

 

# I've chmod 777 templates_c, templates, downloads (correct me if these are wrong)

# I've added/removed $customadminpath = "admin-test"; and renamed my admin directory to admin-test. No change in behaviour. Blank Screen

# I disabled selinux setenforce 0

# Set Display errors ON in php.ini for e_all

 

I see no errors displayed, no errors thrown to error_log (yes I have tested forcing a PHP error displayed in the log).

 

Any suggestions would be great thanks. My only thought is that this is a very cut down minimal Linux install that is maybe giving me issues? However the install script checked dependencies and installed just fine so?

Have you tried enable display_errors in your configuration.php file?

If you visit the /admin/systemactivitylog.php file directly do you see anything?
