hazzcomm
Ok this is driving me crazy. I've hunted for an answer for hours. This must be a common simple thing. To add a domain to a client from what I have read you go to the order page and in the section Domain Registration you fill in the details select register or transfer to add the domain. But in the order summary it says no items selected and I get an error "Validation Error An order cannot be created because no products or domain registration items have been selected" I guessing there must me an option to turn this on. I can import hosting details from cpanel. If would be nice if this would add the domain but this may not be a feature. Cheers, Paul.
brian!
are you following the steps from this page? http://docs.whmcs.com/Importing_Data#Manual_Domain_Only_Entry
hazzcomm
Yes I have gone thru thses steps. "Leave the Product/Service dropdown menu set at None" - I think this is the key. The only way I can create an order is to change the product/Service to something. I did try to create a domain product but this did not help and is still under hosting.
hazzcomm
Yahoo! brian!
step 5 is important for you... Enter the domain in the Domain text field and select Register as the Domain Registration Option (even though you aren't intending to register it today) in the Domain Registration box at the bottom, you must ensure that "Registration" is selected and not "none" for "Registration Type". if you just want to add the domain, then as the inctructions say - "Leave the Product/Service dropdown menu set at None"
hazzcomm
Solved!- Thanks for the help. In the end my pricing was because I had not setup domain pricing.

splaquet
I'm GOING NUTS! I'm having the same issue, but these steps above didn't help. I tried things out on the public front end (log in as client) and went through the time consuming process that way, which worked. I know there must be a faster way in the 'place order' section, but it keeps telling me "An order cannot be created because no products or domain registration items have been selected". I must be overlooking something incredibly simple, but I can't figure it out. Can anyone who's don't a bulk of transfers in the backend help me out?
splaquet
***UPDATE*** So it turns out that you ALSO need to enter in the url in question (to be registered or transferred) in lowercase, NOT UPPERCASE! Not sure if that's posted anywhere and I simply overlooked it, but MAN was I going nuts trying to figure it out. I finally gave up and emailed customer support. They got back to me right away with the answer... and the last line was, "Also, please ensure that you are entering the domain name all in lowercase." DOH! FML...
