TimSan
Hi, since I patched to 5.2.12 I have the issue that in the front-end when I go try to check a domain availability over normal domain checker it just simply refreshes the page and no result. If I order a Product and a availability check is done it just loads endless. Is this issue already known? Does any but have a solution hint? Nothin has been changed only the patch / Security patch files where uploaded.
brian!
is this problem occuring with all templates? i.e have you tried another template to rule out the issue being with a particular template??
TimSan
Hi, nope it's not the template, I have also tested it with the default template from WHMCS. Regards, Tim
SeanP
I can't reproduce this issue in 5.2.12. May I ask what registrar you are using?
TimSan
None, using the standard domain checker that is available from WHMCS. In the whoisservers.php file, for example .de-Domains the correct Whois Server is set as well: whois.denic.de Edited October 30, 2013 by TimSan
PascM
What's the error you see ?
AffordableDomainsCanada
Domain checker is working fine for me after update! When your in the admin section, and go to " Utilities >> Logs ?? WHOIS lookup log " Do you see the domain that was being searched for availability ?
brian!
I would be tempted to reupload the patched files - maybe one got corrupted on the original upload.
TimSan
Hi, @MyEvolutionHost nope it's not in the log. The funny thing is, the whois in the admin panel works though. I will try it with the upload. <- didn't help.. Edited October 30, 2013 by TimSan
AffordableDomainsCanada
Try re-uploading the domainchecker.php file in the root dir of the WHMCS package.
TimSan
Did a complete re upload from 5.2.12 but doesn't work... foud out as well that a order is not possible. Just the same as the whois the page simply refreshes and that is it.
PascM
If you have root access on that box try running this: whois -h whois.crsnic.net 105.44.23.22 If that's not working then your problem is not WHMCS
TimSan
I found the issue. . . So in case some has it as well, check if your server settings preferred main address is opened with www. or without. I changed this today an now it works again. Apparently the settings I changed several day ago didn't have effect and somehow with the patch id did refresh then. So due to the server setting preferred with www. caused the complete issue. But thanks for all your tips! Regards Tim
