Ajaxcart broken

I find this "bug" being quite big and unconfortable... as having a not working cart on a website that's supposed to sell something is one of the worst thing you can do...

Open this page:

https://www.whmcs.com/members/cart.php?carttpl=ajaxcart

- click on "licenses"

- click then "monthly lease"

- click on "owned"

- remove the "monthly lease" one by clicking the red icon on the cart summary

now click on "click to continue"... you will be stopped by this error:

An Error Occurred. Please Try Again.

and at that point the customer will go away and will find a competitor website with an actually working cart...

How can we fix this?

I had reported this bug initially 2 years ago (ticket #759357) they fixed it somehow on a build... but apparently there was a regression somewhere and now it's happening again...

where did you tried it?

Did you do this exact steps:

- open https://www.whmcs.com/members/cart.php?carttpl=ajaxcart

- click on "Monthly Lease"

- click on "Owned License"

- remove "Monthly Lease" from the cart summary

- click on "Click to continue"

?

At that point I cannot continue and I get this error:

An Error Occurred. Please Try Again.

following the above steps, I see the same error message too.

perhaps you will need to report it as a bug again.

from memory, I think there is a possible second bug too if your default cart is ajax, but your first group uses comparison - I don't think you can add products to the cart... haven't tried it for a week or two, but I assume that problem is still there.

Hey evcz,

We have custom templates in play on our main site with a totally custom theme.

This would attribute to the error you are seeing on our site as we are not using the ajax cart for our cart.

However, I was able to replicate this issue on my local test install of 5.3.7 and found it to be a bug.

I have opened case 4551 with our developers for investigation.

I do not have an ETA on when this will be resolved but you can check the changelog when we release new updates and search for the case provided above to see if this was included @ http://changelog.whmcs.com/
