Ticket System - Customer Reply via Email

I am using POP3 Import to pipe the emails. When the client directly replies to the email, I notice in the imported email reply, WHMCS does not get rid of the email history and keeps the body of the email in tact which I think is a lot of clutter.

 

I have seen on some support site where it says "Reply above this line" and when replied, only the replied portion is reflected on the ticketing system and not the entire email.

 

Is there a setting or a plug-in for this. If not, I will most likely be coding this feature in.

Hi,

WHMCS attempts to strip out the reply automatically using the most common email breaklines without the need for this "reply above this line" business. You can add new ones to the tblticketemailbreaklines table in your database.

 

However you could certainly add a "Reply above this line" line to your support email templates, add it to tblticketemailbreaklines and it should help ensure the quoted text is stripped.
