Prohost4u
Hi if any one can help. I am getting random support tickets just filled with html code. and the sender is not a client of ours. is there a way i can stop this? is there a what to set support tickets to be send by registered clients only. I get about 20 to 30 per day. all i can do is remove the ticket and ban the IP. but i still receive the spam tickets as i call them. If any one can help i would be grateful.
LeeStrong
Found this addon which may be of interest to you. Hope you get this sorted soon, sounds very annoying indeed.
brian!
in general settings -> Other, there is a checkbox marked "Tick this box to allow registration without ordering any products/services" - if you untick this, then only users with existing products can contact you.
Prohost4u
in general settings -> Other, there is a checkbox marked "Tick this box to allow registration without ordering any products/services" - if you untick this, then only users with existing products can contact you. If i do this then all they do is register and then send in 10 to 20 support tickets. i then have to delite them and block the ip. But then i get 10 or so for a new ip.i is just a pain to keep removing them, looking at the blocked ip list i now have just over 600 blocked ip's. I will look at the adong see it that will help.
brian!
if it's unticked, they can't register without ordering.. though they could probably still fill out the pre-sales contact form. have you got "Captcha Form Protection" enabled in "Security" ?
