kevinpurcell058
Whenever I rename our 'admin' directory I get an error saying "can not locate language directory". Is it still possible to rename the admin directory in this version? Thanks, Kevin Purcell.
DavidBee
Are you simply renaming the folder? If so then thats incorrect and you are also required to update your configuration file. Here are easy to follow instrcutions: http://docs.whmcs.com/Further_Security_Steps#Change_your_WHMCS_Admin_Folder_Name
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 24, 2013 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 24, 2013 Hi, Please ensure there is no forward slash or backward slash in the $customadminpath variable in your configuration.php file. Per the documentation DavidBee linked to above, the line should contain just your admin directory name with no forward or backwards slash.
NH-Andrew
It seems admin folders containing fullstops are no longer supported (or there is a bug in 5.2.6 that prevents them from functioning). They have previously functioned without issue.
