Service's Next Due Date hasn't been updated after I have marked the invoice as paid

I know that if the user himself would pay the invoice, the service's Next Due Date would be updated, but he has payed the invoice not by the system and I have added the transaction and put the invoice id in the new transaction form, so the invoice has been marked as paid.

 

I wanted to know if anything is wrong with me, or if should I care about updating the Next Due Date when a manual transaction is added to user by me.

 

Isn't there anyway so that it automatically update the Next Due Date?

I had two ways:

 

1. Going to the unpaid invoice and adding the payment for that invoice from the "Add Payment" tab.

2. Adding a new transaction by going to Billing menu and selecting Transaction List and after adding the transaction using Add Transaction tab. I should note that from the form, I filled the "Invoice ID(s)" field with the proper invoice id.

 

I used the second way. Doesn't the way automatically update Next Due Date?
