DavidBee
Hello All, I was wondering out of you all who pays for security software for desktop/laptops? Personally I have a selection of free tools installed that has kept me protected for many years.
bear
We've been using Eset for some years now, and it works well. I did have an incident a while back where I managed to get infected (toasted the whole system), but it may have been something I did within the quarantine right at that time that set it off. Happened kind of fast so I can't be sure. My first infection, ever, and it was a beauty. One full bare metal backup restore later, and I'm back in action with very little data loss. Acronis saved me there; another paid app.

Alex - Arvixe
I use Norton 360 Gold Edition, never had a problem with it - always kept me safe and constantly reporting things to me such as unsafe websites / potential phishing sites among other things which is just what I want it to do . Honestly, never heard of Eset - will check them out a little.

hostleet
Been using Microsoft Security Essentials for years without any hickups.. It's free and more than just an Anti-Virus tool, it's also a Malware/Spyware tool, which works better than most paid softwares..
