OFB
I own my license for WHMCS, I bought it a few years ago, yes my license is old and so is my install of WHMCS. I've been having issues with people trying to use a specific attack that was taken care of in versions 4.0 and up but even though 4.0 and 4.1 were both released during my 1 year upgrade range I'm not able to get a copy of either? This is a BS policy. The one year upgrades, even according to one of their own CS reps told me this: "This does not affect your ability to use the product you have downloaded, as your license itself is not affected, however you are limited to using the version(s) of WHMCS that were available when your Support and Updates Subscription was active. Downloading the newest version(s) of WHMCS requires an active Support and Updates Subscription. As older versions of WHMCS are no longer hosted on our website, if you need a specific version we can upload it to your server through FTP upon request." Yes, I understand that if I want version 5.x I'd have to pay the support fee, but for versions that were already available while my subscription during that one year was active? Come on, really? And before you ask, no I didn't upgrade past what I'm using because up until now I didn't have any issues with it. Why mess with something if it's working?
Damo
You mess with it if there's something discovered and update is made available. When you bought the license you would have known about the upgrade/support policy, we did. How about you stop wanting something for nothing and just purchase a support/upgrade pack. Request the version you require (I'd actually say it would be in your client account once you log in) and download any/all the updates in case you want to use them. When you think about it, if you pay now you've just saved the past couple of years as you can update to the current releases. If you're that hard up affording to maintain the software that you use to run your business it may time to review you're own business instead of having a whinge.
Damo
Just adding to that, you had access to download these during your active support period. You've actually stayed that. But you chose, for whatever reason to not access them. You need to take responsibility for your own actions here. At the very least you should have downloaded anything that was available during that time so you had a copy. Do you still have your own copy of the owned license install files? I'd hope so. It's not any different. Ignorance is not an excuse.
nasos75
Phrase "As older versions of WHMCS are no longer hosted on our website, if you need a specific version we can upload it to your server through FTP upon request." is pretty clear I think.

They have offered to upload and older version to your server, what's your problem?
