webarama
We are having an issue where a pdf file attached to a support ticket sent in by the client is corupt so we are unable to view the file. Is anyone else having the same issue? I'd really appreciate it if someone test on their system to see if it's a whmcs issue or a problem at this end.

webarama
We are a host, and I employ a bunch of people to make these things work. I just needed to make sure it was at our end before I go and start kicking some heads

webarama
Update: I kicked some heads today, but obviously not hard enough. We still have corrupt pdf's entering our desk. Are we really alone in this?
bebop1065
You may be alone with this. Our PDF's arrive properly.
PPH
We have never had anyone attach a pdf to a support ticket but will give it a try to try to reproduce. Are they attaching them via sending in an email or via the helpdesk form?
webarama
Hi George. Via email.
PPH
Hi George. Via email. Hello, I tried to email an attached pdf to our support department and as usual it disappeared in the process. Adding a pdf through the ticket center confirms your results as it is corrupted when downloaded and attempted to open. Guess you owe your crew an apology and maybe this could be looked into as a bug?
PPH
Also duplicated the problem in the V3.2.2 demo at whmcs.com.
generic
works fine on my system, so don't apologize too fast to them... might be a specific setup issue. also just sent a pdf as an attachment to open a new ticket and it worked just fine. opened the ticket, and the pdf looks fine. but when trying it on the whmcs demo, it is corrupt (same pdf file)...the demo is one version behind.

Well then the demo on this site has a problem with the setup too! As I said the ticket was also done in the online demo which by the way still reports as being 3.2.2
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 18, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 18, 2007 The online demo does not allow file uploads so no attachments will work. Matt
PPH
The online demo does not allow file uploads so no attachments will work.Matt OK, so are you saying there isn't a problem uploading .pdfs? Also is it possible to send attachments via support ticket by email without using the email form?

Matt OK I remember having problems with sending your support address an attachment in an earlier version. I had to upload through the ticket area. I also have had to have all our users submit attachments the same way as they never come through if they email them. I guess we need to look deeper?
brianoz
Are emailed attachments working? We have 3.5.1 and emailed attachments come up 0 size when downloaded. They download fine when I attach them through the admin interface so I assume the problem is in the decoding of email attachments rather than the downloading.
webarama
Same version, same issue for us. Matt, can you confirm that this is an issue?
MACscr
Same version, same issue for us. Matt, can you confirm that this is an issue? You might want to upgrade to the current release first (3.6.0) before worrying about submitting any new bugs as you never know if they have already been fixed.
DavidJ
I've experienced similar issues -- attachments not working at all unless uploaded via the web form at all, so I'd 'second' this bug. Admittedly I'm on 3.4.x or so though.
brianoz
We upgraded to 3.6.0 and it's still an issue. Need to test POP but haven't yet.
