Changing quotes to invoices - possible to hold final invoice?

I use the WHMCS quote system constantly to quote and invoice design projects. I love the ability to convert the quote to two invoices since I require a 50% deposit to schedule the project. However, I do NOT like the fact that both invoices are sent out at the same time.

 

Is it possible to send only the first invoice? I have to tell people to ignore the second one, which always results in confusion since both arrive at once. I'd like to be able to hold the final invoice until the project is completed and the client has approved it (plus they often add things during the course of the project, so the final amount ends up being different).

There isn't an option for this currently. However you could potentially use an action hook to stop the notification email for the second email being sent - that might help reduce confusion amongst your users:

Thanks; I'll take a look and see if I can rig something up. Would love to see this as an option in the future; surely I'm not the only one whose clients are confused by it.

Good idea; I'll do that. I emailed a few developers but the files they would need to alter are encrypted. They told me WHMCS would have to implement it.
