EZi
Hi Y'all, I tried to register a .asia domain through ResellerClub and the process failed due to the fact that the CED (Charter Eligibility Declaration) is not available. How can we get this information as it seems a shortcoming in the ResellerClub module but they referred it back to WHMCS. Has anyone overcome this issue? Your reply would be tremendously appreciated. WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 8, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 8, 2012 Hi, I'm not aware of any problems with ResellerClub and .asia domains, just ensure the additional domain fields have been completed towards the bottom of the client's Domains tab. If that's already the case please refer to http://docs.whmcs.com/Domains_Configuration#TLD_Specific_Additional_Domain_Fields
EZi
Hi John, That was helpful and with a bit of digging around I think we can overcome this issue. My main concern however with Resellerclub is that they are specifically catering for white label clients that are not using WHMCS or even have a website. This becomes apparent when one gives access to the end user to their control panel. Once in the control panel, the end user will find numerous links to the "Supersite" (SS). When a client enters the SS, they are given the opportunity to transfer, renew and even order new domains. If they do this then these transactions will by-pass WHMCS. Also, because we would have switched off the email notification with Resellerclub to allow only WHMCS notification emails, the client will not receive any correspondence. Are we doing something wrong here? Is there an end user control panel in Resellerclub that doesn't link to the SS but rather links back to WHMCS? Yours comments would be greatly appreciated.
Troy
Why would you give your client access to the RC backend at all? They can manage their domain via WHMCS without ever accessing the SuperSite.
EZi
Hi Troy, perhaps we have a conceptional misalignment between our understanding of, and WHMCS' capabilities. We are just testing the system and are relatively green behind the ears. In the WHMCS client area I can't see any management menu. Should there be one?
Troy
Within the domain details in WHMCS a client can change dns servers, change contact information, enable/disable auto-renew, request the epp key and register child dns servers. If the client has ordered dns records management or email forwarding you can also perform those functions. There is basically no real reason to send the client to the supersite at all. We also use some of the excellent mods from http://resellerclub-mods.com to provide a more robust dns management interface and assist with transfers and synchronization of WHMCS clients with client records on the RC side. As a client, you get to the domain details by logging in at [Your WHMCS URL]/clientarea.php?action=domains and then accessing the details for a specific domain name.
