this has been asked before, the answer is no, whmcs is licensed per server. you can however use the API and make your own admin system elsewhere then you would need to just rename move whatever the admin area. the problem with this is there have been hacks that were able to disclose the location of the admin area in the past, while these may have been secured, i dont doubt there will be another way into it in the future.

I agree there should be a possible way to do it. and maybe (just maybe) whmcs will take this idea and run with it to seperate the admin area from the client system but i cant see it happening any time soon, unless that is a great many whmcs clients ask for it to happen, it would be hosted on a whole new domain (preferably on another server entirely) so API usage would be the only way to do it.

Is it possible to segregate the admin and customer areas and have them on

two different hosts? e.g. control.domain.tld (for customers) and

secret.domain.tld for the admin area.

Even if you were to do this, if it's under the same domain those are just folders in the same directory tree (unless you mean to have the subdomain on another server).

IE:

/

/cgi-bin

/control

-/customerfacingfiles

/secret

-/adminfiles

/all other files
