Separated PayPal Subscription

Hi John,

Sub ID is in place on the product and correct anyway. PayPal is showing Sep 27 as the next payment date, and WordPress is showing next invoice date as 04/10/2012. Current, unpaid invoice has 25/08 as date, and 04/10 as due date. So I think they all match up. However the payments aren't being applied to the invoices when they come in, I have to do them manually. I think it's just this client I'm having trouble with.

Hi,

Please navigate to Billing > Gateway Log. Do you see any record of the payments? If so hopefully the status will shed some light on what's happening.

If there are no entries please double-check the IPN settings in your account are configured per our documentation @ http://docs.whmcs.com/PayPal

If that's configured correctly already, in your PayPal account navigate to History > IPN History and click the Message ID link corresponding to a transaction not recorded in WHMCS. please ensure the status is "200" (ie. successful) and the IPN URL is valid.

If it all looks OK to you then please open a support ticket with the gateway logs and IPN history logs for us to review.

This thread is a few weeks old, but you can use mod_rewrite to handle old Paypal IPNs. You've probably worked around this already by canceling subscriptions, but see this thread about moving WHMCS for an example of rewriting an old paypal IPN url.

This should be a standard response for WHMCS staff--you do not have to cancel subscriptions and force clients to re-subscribe!
