IPN - Paypal Subs not picking up

Hi all

Love WHMCS glad i have moved too it :)

Just one little problem, im on the latest ver of whmcs, problem im having is that i moved from clientexec with the import script which went all ok.

I have customers that have already subscribed, looking around the forums all things come to one thing, in paypal add the callback url and activate IPN which i have done, added the http url not the https to it..

Went into each account and matched peoples sub IDs to the packages so i think thats all ok.

But still it is not picking up the payment when it is made, still showing it as unpaid :(

Does anyone have any info on this at all?

Regards

This is a rather common issue. Basically, if when a subscription is created, you set the callback url (most billing systems do this) then the callback will always go to that url, even if you change the URL in PayPal. That setting only affects subscriptions with no callback url specified when they were created. So basically, it's difficult. However, to try and combat the issue we have a two file package you can put in place of wherever the previous callback file was on your previous system, CE in this case, and then it attempts to forward them into WHMCS. Not always 100% successful but should catch most of them. Open a ticket to request that.

That doesn't matter, all you need to do is put the file we give you in the exact location where the other system called back to - for example "/clientexec/modules/gateways/paypalcallback.php" - I don't know the location but it would be something like that.

It will work for any billing system - it's not system specific - PayPal sends the same callback data regardless of which billing system you use. But like I say, it's not perfect, so don't expect every subscription to be tracked with it!
