Upgrading is too risky and I do not dare to do so. I do not have a good feelings about all this and slowly looking for other options too.

I understand your concern but i dont think there is a need at this point to jump ship, we have all made a large investment in this personally and financially and for those of us just starting out we cant really afford to be jumping ship to a new product every time there is a major issue. I am still in a good place with WHMCS, i still believe in thier product and i still believe they will provide us what we need and they will catch up on their workload.

Yes i have some serious concerns, not only about the upgrade itself but the way the upgrade is performed. I read thru the instructions and although i can do it, it does seem a bit more complex and involved than many of the free open source scripts i have. For example phpbb is pretty automated when you upgrade and you can merge changes with your mods quite easily. Wordpress is very much automated and pretty much does it all for you. As well there are other open source scripts that i have that pretty much make it so easy to upgrade.

So yes i am concerned that scripts that cost nothing can do upgrades very well IMHO and yet a software that i paid almost $250 for plus the addons plus SSL plus all the other business expenses cant seem to find a good automated way to do this. The main files dont bother me so much as do the templates when i get to that point, im cringing just thinking about what will happen when i fire up the site after updating. I have often wondered why they cant adopt an update technology of phpbb, i mean once the wheel is created why not just adopt whats already proven.

I guess time will tell but for now WHMCS has my devotion and my confidence. I hope they get their heads above water soon and can get things back on track workload wise so we can all address some of the issues at hand. And finally yes i do also agree that since Cpanel now has a stake in WHMCS it has affected performance and clouded their vision a bit. My advice to them would be WHMCS dont forget where you came from.

Last time I checked this was a public forum and free speech still exists in my part of the world. I gave an opinion, you don't like it well guess what? That's what discussion is all about.

I don't need your permission to post what I think and if it gets up your nose I can't help that either. I stand by what I said in full...

Yeah your one of those people that feels the world must know how you feel about everything or you cant sleep at night. I understand i have known people just like you, that instead of being constructive and nice about it, your rude and out of line. Oh but thats right i forgot that without knowing how you feel i dont know how i could even function. Thank you for sharing your quite worthless and unneeded comments, im sure everyone is much wiser now that you did.

To put is simple for your simple mind since you obviously dont get it. It does not matter what kind of forum this is, we all try to be polite regardless if we dont agree, i never said anything about you giving your opinion, my point mr. simple is there is no need to be rude about it and share an opinion that for one has no real content and two is just rude and ugly.

Its about character, but i dont think you really understand that.

Seems to me if you want to see the person who is doing the talking down, then look in the mirror. If you had something worthwhile to say rather than just say something out of meanness and spite then we would not be having this conversation.

Why didnt you just say "i stopped by to say this sucks, no reason just felt like saying something sucked today and this was as good as anything" Because thats exactly what you sound like and its uncalled for, furthermore it is certainly not the attitude of a professional. But maybe your not a professional at all, maybe your just a hack.
