xen
I have set-up WHMCS on a new server. Everything is fine, but the daily cron e-mail I am used to is not sent. After some testing I figured that mail() is not working. Sending mail over SMTP works just fine, but WHMCS seems to be using mail() for its daily cron. What is wrong with my set-up?

xen
As already mentioned; SMTP works fine, but WHMCS seems to be using mail() for its daily cron which does not work.
Bubka3
You can configure WHMCS to use SMTP via the area "RebelOne" mentioned. We do SMTP even though php mail works fine for us.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 13, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 13, 2012 Hi, The cron report email should be sent using the same method as all other emails. What entries do you see under Utilities > Logs > Activity Log at the time the cron runs?
Jorge Oliveira
Go to Setup > Administrator Roles > Full Administrator (considering that such role is the one associated with your account) and check if Email Messages has all options enabled, specially 'System Emails (eg. Cron Notifications, Invalid Login Attempts, etc...)' since that is the one handling cronjob emails. Thank you. xen
Hi,The cron report email should be sent using the same method as all other emails. What entries do you see under Utilities > Logs > Activity Log at the time the cron runs? Logs look fine as already discussed in the ticket. Last message regarding this problem was saying that my license 'shows' invalid. Still waiting for an update on this issue. Funny though how any other e-mail is sent just fine. Thank you. Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately they were all already checked. xen
This issue has been resolved by the awesome WHMCS support. For everyone with this or a similar issue: make sure you have specified an e-mail address for the 'admin' account!
