Is there a Possibility in whmcs ,that people can order extra space and bandwidth to there hosting package?.

and how to create that in whmcs

you will need to create these as addons.

 

in your adminarea goto setup > product/services > Product Addons

 

then create the addons and assign to whatever plans.

 

you will then need to add the extra space etc to the clients accounts manually

Create tiered packages

Customers can then upgrade as and when required, paying the difference from order date to renewal date

 

So for example :

Package A - 10MB webspace and 100MB bandwidth

Package B - 20MB webspace and 100MB bandwidth

Package C - 10MB webspace and 200MB bandwidth

Package D - 20MB webspace and 200MB bandwidth

or

Package A - 10MB webspace and 100MB bandwidth

Package B - 20MB webspace and 200MB bandwidth

 

You then create these same tiered packages in your server installation

 

The disadvantage with using the AddOn is the payment is fixed

So if the customer adds 10MB (as in the example above) it applies for the payment period, not the original package year

this wil only work if you great the whole plan. it does not work on already set plans that you want a client to order extra space/bandwidth

Yes, it does. You can add the various selections as upgrade options for any of your existing plans.

 

I suppose it comes down to personal choice as whether you want to control these type of "extras" manually or let the add-on do its thing.
