Network Solutions registrar module

dcpanel

Question

Does WHMCS have a registrar module for Network Solutions?

The minimum it should support is:

- renew domain

- update nameserver

- request authorization codes

- lock/unlock domain

- update admin,billing,tech contacts

Their XML API documentation is here:

ftp.networksolutions.com/partners/XML/Version_6.7/

thank you

Hi,

WHMCS does not currently have a Network Solutions registrar module. However you could use our module development kit and create a module for use with Network Solution's API (assuming they have one). All the details you'll need as a developer of WHMCS can be found at http://docs.whmcs.com/Developer_Resources

We have also created a Marketplace forum and an oDesk group to connect users and developers, feel free to request a quotation from our community by posting in our Marketplace forum or oDesk group: http://forum.whmcs.com/forumdisplay.php?f=49

.

You might also like to suggest that network solutions create their own module for their (hopefully existing) API, I am sure the developers here at whmcs would appreciate their input on this.

Nice though, but the registrars do not make 'modules' for the 100's of different software that can communicate with their API, they publish the API and let the software vendors integrate.

Just so people are aware, Network Solutions work quite differently than most registrars. With most registrars you deposit money and then purchase domains against that deposit. With Network Solutions (at least with bigger customers) you simply purchase 'on account' and they invoice you at the end of the month. Depending on your registration volume that can means thousands of dollars per month difference in cash flow.
