iPhone App & leased license of WHMCS

If I have a leased license of WHMCS from a VPS provider can I purchase the iPhone app license with it?

 

Or do I need a license directly from WHMCS first?

But please bear in mind that you do not own the license your hosting provider does and you may lose all your addons in the event you decide to move from the host or purchase another license that you own.

 

Of course, WHMCS being the upstanding member of the hosting community that it is would never allow this to happen

I can confirm that is not the case, you will be the owner of the addon and can transfer it between licences for no extra cost if necessary.
