jin
I have an issue with the domains being marked as paid when they aren't paid. What is happening is, a new user makes a purchase for hosting with a free domain. First issue Once the year has finished the invoice is sometimes created with the domain as a part of it and other times it is created separate from it, 2 invoices. When a hosting with free domains are purchased how can I keep them together? Second issue When a domain becomes separated from its original purchase and the invoice expiration date passes the domain is being marked as paid 0.00 How do I stop this from happening? Is this controlled from the registrar update box being ticked?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 7, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 7, 2012 Hi, In order for free domains to renew only when the associated service is renewed there are a number of requisites, please check the following points: * The Next Due Date and Payment Gateway setting of both the domain and service to be same. * The Setup > Automation Settings > Invoice Generation > Advanced Settings > Domain Reminder Settings field is left blank. * Finally the "Separate Invoices" option must be unticked under the client's Profile tab and Setup > Client Groups > Edit. More information can be found in our documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Common_Promotions#Free_Domain_Name If one or more of these points has been missed then invoices would be invoiced separately and for free.

If they are purchased at the same time shouldn't they be the same automatically? (Could the domain sync maybe offset this after the purchase?) 2. Nothing in the advanced field. 3. It was unticked, also just as a note I wasn't using the groups.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 13, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 13, 2012 Hi, Yes the Next Due Dates should be the same automatically unless you're using the domain sync script to change the Next Due Dates too, which could cause them to be different.

After changing the settings to what has been suggested not I no longer receive emails of new domain orders. These shouldn't be connected right? It only started happening once I change the settings as stated above.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 25, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 25, 2012 Hi, In all likelihood that would just be coincidence.
