Hi,

I have some hosting packages offers free domain and some not. When a client orders the hosting with free domain then he will be invoiced both together stating domain price $0.0. When billing for second year, it should Generate one invoice again includes the item domain price $0.0 in same invoice where hosting service also being billed and it should not allow to billed separately which may tend to renew the domain automatically. I noticed for second invoice onward, it does not include the them domain in that invoice and also it does not automatically renew the domain automatically. If the payment received, it automatically renews the domain as well as the hosting package adding new expiry date.

Some clients purchased domain and hosting seperately. Later deciding to move to the hosting package with free domain. So I simply change the hosting package to the one offers free domain and set the new price. Then in domain, I set the recurring price to $0.0. And I always making sure the next due date for the hosting and domain is same. Still this makes huge issue that domain and hosting getting billed separately. Since the domain price has set to $0.0, it marks the invoice paid then renews the domain. If client decide not to pay for renewal, then it is a loss because domain already renewed. I still thinking how to solve this?. If anyone knows solution please share.

Thanks.

Hi,

First please refer to the documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Common_Promotions#Notes

If the invoice and domain are being renewed on separate invoices this means the Next Due Date of the Payment Gateway do not match, or you've ticked the "Separate Invoices" option on the client's Profile tab or the Client Group configuration.
