snake Posted April 2, 2012 Share Posted April 2, 2012 We are suing WHMCS with WebsitePanel, and I am a little confused with the servers section. As far as I understand WHMCS doesn't provision anything directly, it has to integrate with a hosting control panel, so what is the servers section for ? I have only needed to create 1 server which is our WebsitePanel server that WHMCS communicates with, but every customer that signs up, WHMCS thinks their site is hosted on this server and links to it in the welcome email, which I have now disabled. I have tried using the SERVERS for virtual machine management, and when a customer orders a VM, I add it to servers, but then in the customers "product and services" page, the "server" dropdown list is empty, so I cannot assign it. snake Posted April 2, 2012 Author Share Posted April 2, 2012 In addition, under the products and services tab, there is a "username and password" field, which I also intended to use to store their VPS login details, but it seems to be plain text and is not even encrypted, so that is obviously not very secure so am wary of using it.
