How to handle this? hosting as an addon? :S

Hi:

I need some advice :)

I already know how WHMCS handles new orders, products, hosting packages, etc. but I'm stuck at one point :S Here's my issue:

I have a client that ordered a domain on xx date. Then the same client ordered a web design package that already includes a hosting package, this is due on a different date than the domain.

My question is how to set this up for this client on the program? Because this is not a hosting package but a design package that includes a hosting package, so the addon would be the hosting? :S

How would you handle this kind of issue? or the best way to set this up on whmcs?

Thanks for any advice!

:)

In my opinion your best bet is to create 2 products.

If you want to include the hosting but not automate it then you could just create a web design product but mention that web hosting is included. You would then have to manually create the hosting account.

If hosting is an optional addon then you could set it up under setup > product addons

Hi:

Thanks for your reply.

In this case, web design service is bundled with an annual hosting package (not a standard package sold as product but a tailor-made package, let's say 20 MB only for files and images, etc) but the web design won't be due within a year, because the client already paid for it, but he/she will need to renew/upgrade? the hosting package; then the client would choose a package from the current products list and "upgrade" his hosting account.

The problem is that I don't know how is the best way to achieve this :S

One way would be the one you mentioned but I'm invoicing the client for the full service (webdesign+hosting).

:S

Thanks
