Juanzo
I believe customer lifetime value is one of the most important metric, and would love to receive a quote on creating a report that would calculate the average months our clients have their plan active. The report should calculate, each day, the average months each product is kept active on average.

othellotech
what's your budget for the report/process ?
Juanzo
I don't have a fixed budget, but htb recently confirmed us via ticket that WHMcs doesn't store the termination date. If that's the case, I guess the script could store the termination date but that might make the addon more complicated. Maybe this is something that WHMcs might address.
Juanzo
Just an update from WHMcs, in case anyone is able to make a quote: The Activity Log will store the date that the client account was terminated, this will only be kept for so long. You can use a hook to insert the date that the terminate is completed to a custom table if you wish to and use this in your calculations.

othellotech
Whether you need to store another date (and add to the maintenance/cost) depends on the level of accuracy you need - you do know when it was next due, and whether the client cancelled "immediate" or "end of billing" so it can be worked out for everything but terminates ...
Juanzo
Thanks for your input! Would you mind sharing a quote on this, without storing another date?
Juanzo
Anyone else interested on this? I'm sure many of us hosters will benefit from knowing our approximate customer lifetime value.
