PCGH
Forgive me for any ignorance as I am a new WHMCS user… ;-) I have searched the forum but can't seem to find an answer to my question. I have a customer who pays by check for his domain name. I received the payment, then went into the invoice and selected Add Payment. The receipt was emailed to the customer and the customer's record reflects the renewal. However the domain name has not been renewed (ResellerClub). In this scenario, is the renewal not automatically sent to the registrar? Do I need to manually go into the customer's record and select Renew in the Registrar Commands? Thank you for the help. Tony Edit: I do have "Auto Renew on Payment" set in General Settings. Edited October 18, 2011 by PCGH
PCGH
Addendum... In looking at the WHMCS logs I see this: "Automatic Domain Registration Suppressed as Domain Is Already Active" What does that mean?
m8internet
A few things it could be Go to the link for Items To Do List on the main page Select the item for the Domain Name Change the drop down from Pending to Active Go back to the Orders Pending Select the invoice number that is pending Scroll to the bottom and click on Accept Order Go to the Domain Name in the Clients Account Change the Renewal date Click on Recalculate on save on exit Click on Save Look at the invoice itself
PCGH
Thank you for the response.... There was nothing in to the To Do list or the Orders Pending. I did the recalculate trick though. Oddly enough, I just performed the same routine on two additional domains and they processed as they should. Perhaps just a gremlin with that one.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 18, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 18, 2011 It means you changed the domain's status to "Active" (therefore telling WHMCS it has been registered) before the client paid for the domain. WHMCS is smart enough to know not to register a domain that's already registered, so no registration has been attempted.

It was a renewal - not a new registration - so should it not have been 'active'?
