few questions ragarding WHMCS

aliitp

Question

hi

i am using the script for 2 months now

so far so good i am happy i got such a system really

but i need to know a few things

1) is it a good practice/or can i do offer weekly subscribtions ? (that is 1/2/3 weeks)

2) i am mainly hosting windows seedbox accounts, and hopefully soon turn all accounts into VPS accounts using microsoft (HYPER-V) is it possible to have a module that will work along with WHMCS so that VPS accounts get created and suspended automatically ?

3) can i set unpaid invoices and orders within 4 days to get canceled and deleted automatically ? coz i dont want them to get stacked in my system..

To answer your questions:

1. Not with a product/service, but you could manually create a billable item to bill on whatever frequency you want: http://docs.whmcs.com/Billable_Items

2. Not currently, but you could create your own Hyper-V module: http://docs.whmcs.com/Creating_Modules

3. Not officially, but this addon may be of interest: http://www.whmcs.com/members/communityaddons.php?action=viewmod&id=192

one more thing

i really got a bit confused with those set of options

Invoice:

Action Don't Invoice for Now

Invoice on Next Cron Run

Add to User's Next Invoice

Invoice as Normal for Due Date

Recur Every Never Days Weeks Months Years Times

am not sure which to pick!

WHAT I WANT is to create a new invoice for the customer to pay and of course the invoice needs to be associated with a product !

then on weekly basis a new invoice will be generated so that he pays it and as long as he is renewing on time his service shall remain active

no difference really over ordering a product on monthly basis !

the only difference is that its gonne be on weekly basis..

is the last one the right choice?

Recur Every Never Days Weeks Months Years Times

If you use a billable item to bill clients on a custom cycle it can't be associated with a product.

Sounds like you want the "Recur Every" option, enter how often the client should be billed and then specify the Next Due Date their first invoice will be due.
