sohouk
We still run WHMCS 4.4.2 and were just about to undertake and upgrade to 4.5.2. With the forthcoming release of WHMCS 5.0, is it worth waiting and simply updgrade to 5.0 when it appears, or would that introduce problems. In connection with that, is it possible to upgrade from 4.4.2 to 5.0 without incremental upgrades?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 14, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 14, 2011 You'll be able to upgrade straight to 5.0.1 when it's released. However if you upgrade the 4.5.2 now there'll be fewer template updates to make when upgrading to 5.0.1 later.
sohouk
OK, got that about the fewer templates issue. We usually compare them all before updating, but I wanted to be sure about whether the MySql tables had changed and in particular, whether our preferecnes for WHMCS were going to be changed. Thanks, Trevor
