jaatendi
The "free setup" Promotion I created is not working when I try to apply in the front end as a user. I attached a screenshot of the settings I am using. I have tried ordering different domains and billing cycles, and the promotion is not affecting the price in the Order Summery. How should this be working, and what can I do to fix this?
Thijmen
Could you post a bigger screenshot? This one is a bit small.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 28, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 28, 2011 Are your hosting plans one-time? You need to select the appropriate billing cycles to which the promo applies. It's not the length of the discount.
jaatendi
I selected all 3 of the billing cycles I offer, but the promo code is still not affecting the price. When I changed the promo code to a fixed amount promotion, it was successfully applied. How is the free setup different than the fixed amount promotion?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 29, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 29, 2011 Free setup promotions mean that regardless of whatever setup fee value you've specified under Setup > Products/Services > Edit > Pricing tab the client won't be charged. They'll still be charged the product price, just the setup is free.
