Miki
Hi, I have seen that all the emails that my system sends for domain name renewals are stating that "The domain name will expire in -734800 days." eg below: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Person's name (Company Name), The domain name listed below will expire in -734800 days. yourdomain.com - 08/10/2011 To ensure the domain does not expire, you should renew it now. You can do this from the domains management section of our client area here: http://www..com Should you allow the domain to expire, you will be able to renew it for up to 30 days after the renewal date. During this time, the domain will not be accessible so any web site or email services associated with it will stop working. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Has anyone else had this issue? how can I get this fixed?? Thanks for your help. Michael.
Panache
Hi, got the same problem. It appears when you have a zero date (00/00/0000) in domain expiration date field. Andjust this settung and the expiration days count will be shown correctly. It seems to be an issue as I get this errors after 4.5.2 version. I will open a bug report here in forums.
Miki
Oh Great, I will have to update all the domains in the expiration date field then, I don't know why have an expiry date then, why not just have Next Due Date instead?? Thanks for the help Panache.. :-)
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 26, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 26, 2011 It just means you didn't fill in the correct expiry date, especially if the domain was transferred to you, so definitely not a bug. If your registrar module supports it you can configure a syncronisation cron to update it automatically. The expiry date is the actual date the domain expires and ceases to function, whilst you may want to invoice clients earlier than that using the Next Due Date.

Maybe not a 'bug' but would be nice for some error handling for these kind of circumstances. It's very unprofessional when these emails get sent out!
