easyhosting
No hacking involved, Ill assure you about that. If the license is "suspended" going to http://host.com/whmcs/admin should show a "Suspended" page (of course some change the admin url and in which case, we simply use the licensedebug). We do not ever attempt a login or to break security. so what you should of said you look at the admin areas source code as they way you wrote it is that you look at the admin area (which implies hacking into the admin area). loststryk
rewrite firstly, great site kdisk it's nice to see someone proactive investigation, although I am worried about the reactions from a couple of people in this thread, if i was a suspicious person I would be thinking that they had something to hide. I find it comical that the way your being treated kdisk, your basically helping whmcs to catch people who are stealing from them by using nulled versions, would be nice to see someone else, like a owner instead of a forum mod who seems pretty dubious and a member like easyhost who seem's pretty worried, checked your keys lately easyhosting ? Keep up the good work, kdisk it's compelling reading. Edited September 13, 2011 by loststryk
KDisk
so what you should of said you look at the admin areas source code as they way you wrote it is that you look at the admin area (which implies hacking into the admin area). Again, no hacking at all. One thing you will find common if you visit a NULLED WHMCS Admin (Login Page ONLY) and use your browsers "View Source", you will often see anonym.to appended to the URL for WHMCS.com. This is to annomymize the source page of the visitor. I have attached a screenshot of this for you
easyhosting
but not many common people whould know if any site is using nulled software and their are 1,000s of sites out their using nulled software or know how to tell if they use nulled software. KDisk
but not many common people whould know if any site is using nulled software and their are 1,000s of sites out their using nulled software or know how to tell if they use nulled software. My sources come from many places, I will list a few; 1) SPAM - I am a member of several Google Groups, forums, and social networking sites. when a "hosting company" spams the sites (aside from reporting them to the mods), I always check their site. Close to 40% of these use nulled software from my findings. This is my biggest source for shameless. 2) I get reports from readers about nulled WHMCS Installs and RIPPED Website Templates (sometimes both). There are many users who can point out a nulled copy of WHMCS as fast as I can 3) I often visit forums such as wjunction and digitalpoint, these are often flooded with them, especially "offshore" hosting companies 4) I often visit forums where pirated software is talked about, (Google "Nulled Scripts" and you will find a few). These members who "Thank" the person who posted the nulled links sometimes mention their hosting company and plans in their signature. 5) eBay - Who really buys hosting there? i have found a few there who get posted
easyhosting
so your saying the people who have nulled versions should be left alone and allowed to basically steal whmcs coding ? no i am not. we as hosts know how to use the licencedebug etc to check a licence is valid or not, but a common person looking for a personal website hosted or even someone looking for a business host will not know how to check for a valid licence. i have seen nulled versions of WHMCS, CE, hostbill etc. and i will always report these
railto
have to say im surprised to see some of the posts here. Always makes me wonder what people are up to when they attack a site like this. ShamelessHosts is not a review site per sé, its a site where hosts that have been proven to be illegitimate are exposed. Seeing as this site exposes hosts that pirate WHMCS, I thought that people on this forum would have been happy with it, but obviously not, haters will always hate. Many of them have been in the hosting industry longer then I. Regardless of the report, I personally verify it prior to posting it. There is currently a 3-4 day waiting list on hosts I am still checking out.

Just like "To Catch a Predator", not all people support publicly posting these. It would be nice if a site like this did not have to exist IMHO. How is using a nulled license, ripped design, a mistake/error? Where has he listed sites for ripping content, when they are using royalty free images? To answer bear's question, as kdisk said, I am not the owner of the site, just a reader. I really fail to see the reasoning for all the negativity. If some one rips (as in steals) another hosts design, or uses a nulled script (again, as in steals), then why not name and shame them.

I quite think that site is great. They seem to be very reasonable with honest mistake type people, while at the same time, hard on people that are clearly up to no good (such as using nulled whmcs scripts. keep in mind that a nulled script isn't "an honest mistake," it's deliberate and can easily be seen as distinct from a host simply forgetting to renew their whmcs license). Personally I would never run a site like that and expose myself to the legal implications (even if it's freedom of speech, lawyers cost money). But I applaud KDisk for doing what's best for the common good at great personal risk to himself.

That's kind of weird. One site you say its a childish site, but then you report sites to him. Little 2 faced isn't it? well you should answer the questions on here rather than place all these posts on your own childish site. That's the wording of a hater. easyhosting
That's the wording of a hater. hows that if questions are asked here they should be answered here. its like if you purchased something from Asda and it was wrong you would not go to tesco with it would you. bear
That's the wording of a hater. And people who call others haters are they themselves haters and so on. I think this about covers things. A friend of the owner posts to help his friends site gain hits; some are for, some against. </thread>
