WebCommand
Ok I know I am not allowed to use my whmcs license to sell the services of other sites but here is what I want to do. 1. WHMCS Installation site site1.com This site hosts all nameservers This site will control all WHM installations This is not a public site 2. Main Hosting Site site2.com This will be the only site that actually serves the public with services and features 3.Processing Site site3.com This site handles all processing including paypal and new accounts not a public site Would a model like this violate WHMCS TOS?
0 WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 30, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 30, 2011 Hi, It's not a case of breaking the EULA, but a setup like that just wouldn't work. WHMCS is installed at one domain and the ordering management and payment processing all takes place there. You are of course welcome to provision accounts on various servers using different domains and can use a different site to promote your products, but you'd need to link to site1.com for ordering and management.
0 WebCommand
Thanks Jon My Plan was to use WHMCS as a Backend only, is there some where in the WHMCS payment gateway I can set a notify URL? I don't understand though, if I already have my own payment processing script and could easily add more code to it, why couldn't I use the WHMCS API for the rest?

You can... develop a custom payment gateway. Or you can manually process the order through your payment processor script then manually enter the clients details into WHMCS. This will be a billing nightmare when it comes time to process cancellations and recurring payments. Why can't you just host your whmcs on one site, and your other sites wherever you'd like? Also, using a standard payment gateway so billing won't be a hassle.
