nabil
We have been using worldpay futurepay for ages now and, not paying attention, I just realised that the credti card failed emails aren't going out to customers who have transaction failed from worldpay. The question is, is the credit card failed message supposed to work in this scenario? Or does it only work when we store credit card details, which we don't and won't? In either case - anyone have a suggestion how to enable this to occur? Am I missing something blindingly obvious? The gateway transaction log does receive notification that the card failed - this just needs to trigger the credit card failed email to go out. Any suggestions much welcomed.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 9, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 9, 2011 Futurepay sends credit card payment failure messages directly to clients so the credit card email templates in WHMCS aren't used.
nabil
Thanks for the quick reply. Worldpay is such a pain in the a** for customers to use that we prefer customers to update their details if their card is expired by clicking the pay now button in whmcs. Doing it this way they can change the card details related to that futurepay id without having to go directly through worldpay (no remembering which email address they used and a futurepay ID which means nothing to them). For those that need to go through worldpay (change card due to lack of funds for instance) we send them an explanatory email as the worldpay one is confusing to customers. How can we have the credit card failed message be auto sent out to customers if the transaction fails?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 9, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 9, 2011 There isn't an option that could change the behaviour of the module like that I'm afraid.
