sitesme
Hi, I want to set AED as the default currency and USD as secondary. I managed to do it. AED is set to 1.00 but USD is always giving me 0.00 value when I try to update the rate exchange. Is AED supported by WHMCS? It is obviously supported on XE.com Thank you.

sitesme
Nop, As I said, AED is not being recognized I guess. I receive this message when I try to auto update the rates: Exchange Rates Update Results Updated USD Exchange Rate to 0 And USD is set to 0 indeed...
GGWH-James
Did you read the section that I linked to? You will find the answer as to why AED isn't updating properly.
sitesme
Hi, I read the documentation 3 times already by now and I still do not see the answer to my answer. The only think I can see is: "WHMCS has the built in capability to retrieve and update the base conversion rate values daily for the following currencies:" and AED is not there. My question is how can it be added? Many thanks.
GGWH-James
As you mentioned, AED isn't in the list of supported currencies for the update feature. Because you have AED set as the base currency, no other currency will be updated properly either; due to the fact that AED isn't supported for update by WHMCS and secondary exchange rates are based off of the primary currency. sitesme
I'm still wondering why can not AED being treated as any of the other currencies available? Since this uses a 3rd party software (I believe it is xe.com) and AED is commonly accepted on any exchange rate website... isn't there a way of adding the currency somewhere so it is supported by the script: i.e. any php file or database? Thanks
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 29, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 29, 2011 WHMCS uses the European Central Bank to update currencies automatically and they don't provide a AED feed, so WHMCS can't update the exchange rate for it automatically.

Hi John, Why not using xe.com or oanda.com free currency rates? Or at least give this as modules so we (clients) can enable/disable? Since the currencies are in all systems, it should be a standard to update it automatically.
