Resseller over root?

Hi,

Sorry if i am reposting, i did check for other similar posts

I am just thinking over how i am going to set up WHMCS and i was wondering. If i use a Reseller account (for security reasons) to i loss any functionality with WHMCS? Or should i just use root authentication?

 

Would my root passwords be safe with WHMCS?

 

Also would level 1 support staff then have access to the whole server?

I'd recommend using a reseller over root unless it's specifically required (such as the configurable package addon).

Off the top of my head, yes.

if you use cpanel, which i assume you are: dont use the password auth, use the access key

 

It's under WHM -> Cluster/Remote Access -> Setup Remote Access Key.
