sohouk
I am not too clear about how Auto-Renew settings for a domain are supposed to work. If a client sets auto renew for the domain, and has sufficient funds in credit then I would assume that a domain would be auto-renewed on or before expiry date. This isn't occurring for our clients and I'm not too sure why this could be. Should the payment type be set to 'Credit' maybe? Or is there a setting somewhere I should be checking - maybe a 'renew if funds available' option. The docs don't mention much (searching for auto renew brings almost no matches) Is there a more complete guide on this and how it should be set up? WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 27, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 27, 2011 Disabling the auto-renew setting simply prevents the renewal invoice from being generated. With auto-renew enabled the renewal invoice will be generated as normal per your Setup > Automation Settings.
sohouk
I understand that about the auto-renewal checkbox, but you will see I also said; "..and has sufficient funds in credit" If both those criteria are met, then I assume auto-renewal of a domain occurs. This is not happening and I have raised a support ticket, but with no resolution at ATM. On a related note, how soon in advance should auto-renewal process the renewal transaction? Is it on the day, or a few days in advance. Is this set anywhere? Trevor
