SteveV
Is anyone else seeing problems with support tickets in 4.5.1? We use POP import to create tickets and we're seeing that: 1. Tickets are having the subject stripped out, so they are created with "(No Subject)" 2. Probably as a result of the above, replies to ticket responses are being created as new tickets instead of being added to the existing ticket.
SteveV
Whoah! I am *seriously* impressed: within 10 minutes of poking around my WHMS install, Matt had figured out exactly what the problem was (a misconfiguration of IMAP on our server) and fixed it. Thanks Matt!
Damo
What was the fix needed? We are seeing the very same thing happening.
Varial
I am experiencing this too (using Google Apps). How do we fix it?
SteveV
I would suggest submitting a ticket so that you can get a fix/patch/insturctions on how to fix the problem. This is what Matt said: The values WHMCS is getting from the imap library on your environment for the emails that are failing is: Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [charset] => default [text] => Matt ) ) And the charset of "default" isn't a valid charset, so then when it tries to convert to utf-8 from "default" the net result was an empty string. So I've added a workaround to skip the charset conversion if the charset is set to default which should resolve it. Let me know how it goes.
Damo
I opened a ticket earlier today and just received a replacement pop.php file (marked as experimental fix). It's worked for our setup and the tickets are once again coming in with a subject.
Juanzo
Good to see this has nothing to do with Google Apps or possible misconfiguration. I'm already requesting the fix via ticket.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 30, 2011 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 30, 2011 No need to do that. Just see post #2 @ http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=38424
