vidorMH
Hello guys, i've just registered here, since i started using WHMCS about two weeks ago, and now i have some questions First of all, my integration (the easy part) went pretty well, and all it's left to do is to import accounts from WHM/cPanel. I added all the needed packages and configured the cpanel server, basically everything is ready to be imported. The only thing that worries me are the emails that are being sent by WHMCS (Overdue invoices, invoice reminders etc.) The thing is that i'm afraid whmcs will start sending emails to my clients before i manage to complete importing all the data manually (domain registration dates, web hosting packages due dates, next payment dates...). Is it enough to shut down the cron job before i finish inserting all the data, to make sure that emails aren't going to be sent during that period, and how can i control emails being sent after reactivating the cron job? Another question is, when i fully populate my whmcs with all my client domains/accounts/... how can i email all of them, informing them about their new login details in their whmcs client area?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 6, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 6, 2011 Yes you can disable the cron job, or set the Setup > General Settings > Mail tab > Mail Type to "SMTP" and leave the SMTP fields beneath it blank to ensure no emails can be sent. You can use the Clients > Mass Mail Tool to email all your clients in one go, but there isn't a way to send them all new password emails in bulk.
