hypernoob
Hi I have been looking at the McAfee PCI Compliance program offered in partnership with WHMCS. Can this be used to certify a VPS server? Or is this only per website? I'm also wondering how the software works... does it run on Linux? As you can see, I'm very lost. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!
0 WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 24, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 24, 2011 Hi, 1. I believe it only applies to a single website, but the McAfee sales team will be able to give a definitive answer. 2. WHMCS can run on any OS; Linux or Windows.
0 hypernoob
Woops, regarding the second question, I was talking about the McAfee software being able to do PCI compliance testing on Linux.. Anyone know if this is possible? And how it works?
0 niyyie
McAfee would not offer you any software. They'd just check scan your server/VPS regularly to be sure it complies with PCI standards.
0 hypernoob
Thanks I thought they do a scan from the inside. Obviously you seem to suggest that McAfee scan your website/vps from the outside.
