WHMCS Guy
Hi Unfortunately a 500 Internal Server Error error is just a generic message from your server. It could be that ioncube is incorrectly installed or there are some settings in a .htaccess file causing an error. In order to find the exact cause of the error please refer to your server error logs. With this specific information we can then help troubleshoot the issue. Regards, Guy
keithm
Would also be useful if you can paste the contents of your apache 'error_log' that will show you why its giving a 500 error message usually. Keith
snake
did you ever solve this, we are having same issue for last week or so. I am getting it when trying to add orders and also the cron job is now failing with this error also. This is *NOT* a new install, it has been up and running for some years, php nor iobcube has been updated recently. The event logs nor the php logs are not showing any entries for when the 500 server error occurs.
WHMCS Chris
Hello, Unfortunately there are a myriad of reasons why an Internal Server Error may be shown as it is a generic message provided by Apache. You will need to either contact your hosting provider to have them watch the Apache error logs while regenerating the error, or if you have access - tail them yourself to look into the cause. It could be something as simple as ownership & permissions, to a broken PHP module that was put in place by the administrator.
