smileys
I too need a good reliable domain registrar. I went to the above link and it has good info but still not sure what to do. I am new to domain registrar and not sure what some of the wording means, but am learning. The ones mentioned on the above link aren't listed inside WHMCS Does anyone have an opinion about the ones listed inside WHMCS? Is it better to try and use one of them or another registrar? I do have a reseller account with Wild West Domains (godaddy) but really don't like it much and still having issues on how to set it up properly. My other question is, I've looked at ENOM but it seems expensive to get a reseller account, is this normal or is there a cheaper registrar that works easily with WHMCS? I appreciate any and all suggestions anyone can give thanks. Laura
trine
We use resellers.RoverNIC.com for the last few years and are very happy. You use the directi plug for them.

Dominic Quick
I'd also recommend stargate. http://www.stargate.com

3cellhosting
I use PlanetDomains. They are not the cheapest but they have worked well for me. I tend to sell domains as part of the design and hosting package. Regards David
DataHosts
godaddy? Yes I know that is must be integrated with WHMCS, but hey....WWD is nice in some ways
trine
We once tried Godaddy/WWD/SecureServer a long time ago. What we found is they will occasionally send email to your customers too. Don't particularly like that. What's more is they have some really strange policies... Read ALL of their service agreements, and you will find that even if you do not host with them, they can and will shut off a domain if the domain is reported as sending spam or points somewhere that host illegitimate sites. There are some well known cases of them shutting down an entire datacenter, simply because one of their hundreds of clients was hacked and got infected with a worm. Their anti-spam policies are also in effect for domains too, meaning you could be liable for action against you if one of your clients is considered a spammer, by GD/WWD. Just my opinion. We've made some mistakes along the way, like this and also RegisterFly, and have learned from it. Right now, we are using a Directi reseller who is quite responsive. We also use Enom and are happy with them too. Price is probably a bottom-line for most, so if that's the case, then stargate is the cheapest, followed by rovernic, whmcs, planet domains, enom, opensrs ... Just my 2 cents
DataHosts
aghh..I do not do domain registration so I was unaware of this. I myself use GoDaddy for all my domains. Good to know this though for future reference to WWD
networkegypt
We Were WWD reseller and now switched to Stargate. Although WHMCS make some errors with stargate we are waiting for matt to solve them but personaly i advice stargate for there Transfer Price 5.95$ is a great
trine
I can confirm they are ... look at the home reseller page for instance .
trine
H4F .. How is that? you only spend 4 cents up to $200, then you save 20 thereafter, then 50 cents, then 95 cents ... In other words, 25 domains times 4 cents is a whopping 1 dollar, then you save money. In any case, it doesn't matter. we are above their 1000 range and close to the 6.99 price. All I can say is that their support is great! If you are looking for bottom dollar, then go to startgate, which is like 5 cents less than rovernic or something, but they don't give you access to SSL products and the other Directi stuff.
MACscr
I hate godaddy with a passion They are such a spammy company. As far the best registrar, well, that by far is enom. I have thought about resellerone a bit, but i dont like their customer service. I rarely need something like that with a registrar, but enom is always there when i need them. Even by phone.
trine
h4f, why not go with stargate or directi, directly? Enom is nice too, even though we have an expensive account with them, but just for a few cctlds, not for the .com, .net etc. Also, thanks for pointing that out h4f... I am chatting to rovernic as we speak. Will post back later.
rodeoXtreme
We have been using Stargate also and have been very happy with them; until they were sold to us2.net. us2.net seems to severely lack in support. We are now looking at enom and a couple of other Registrars. I am always concerned when a company cannot even answer their telephone (I do understand business hours, etc.); but I expect a reply from a Support Ticket within 24 hours. I have a few tickets with them right now and have only had one reply in 24 hours "...we are moving this ticket to our XXXX department..." Thats my 2 cents.

RSprinkel
What about Directi? I noticed they offer this free to customers of WHMCS in their Addons/Extras?
RSprinkel
Can anyone comment on the Directi domain Registar?
mm1250
Yes, I've been looking at DirectI also, We currently have Enom but we pay them around $10.45 domain. I can put down 1500 deposit at DirectI and get domains for $7.25 vs I put down $7k with Enom to get $7.45 / domain. Also it seems DirectI runs domain specials where I never seen Enom lower the price of the domains. DirectI has .net for $4.99 and .info for $1.99 Can anyone who has DirectI (resellerclub) comment. Does the interface with WHMCS work as good as Enom?
