sohouk
Is there a more clear explanation of how to set up server monitoring than the docs at http://docs.whmcs.com/Servers#Status_Monitoring The docs simply say that to have this feature; upload the status folder to a folder on the server and then enter the url to that folder. The only file in the status folder is index.php so I uploaded that to a folder called 'status' on my server but nothing seems to occur when I click the Update Now link on the admin page. I am assuming it means to upload to a folder under the /home/domain/public_html folder All that happens is after a short while the http status boxes all say ‘Online’ but all the other boxes fill with dashes ( – ) and there isn’t any error. Is index.php in the status folder the right one? This is the only file in the whmcs/status folder referred to in the docs but I am wondering if it’s the correct one. The docs at http://docs.whmcs.com/Servers#Status_Monitoring say ‘PHP Info output is disabled by default for security reasons so if you would like to enable it, you simply need to uncomment the line "#phpinfo();" (remove the #) within the index.php file.’ However, opening up the index.php files shows no such entries so I am not sure the file I have is the correct one. Or is that quote referring to a different file and topic? Trevor
sohouk
Solved this now. Server permissions was the culprit. Still no idea about the PHP Info bit though.
