Blank page (language file messed?) after setting company name and email in admin

Hello.

 

I have installed WHCMS on my portfolio site after realizing HostGator offer reseller account holders the chance to get a free license. The installation went well, it's at http://www.dojo-design.com/client-area .

 

At the time of the installation it all looked nice, the client-area page displayed nicely.

 

Then I started setting up the platform. The moment I changed the company name and email address from setup > general settings, the language file seems to stop working. It autoselects french, even if I set up to use english. That wouldn't be a problem, but that doesn't work either.

 

I have all icons on the page, as you can see, have created a test client account and it logs it in, but it doesn't display ANY text, aside the footer link to whcms.com that's placed in the footer template as I assume, so it doesn't have any relations with the language files.

 

I assume it's something related to the language file not being recognized anymore, don't know what to say.

 

I have CHMOD-ed the directories, deleted the install folder. The troubles started when I made the first changes in the settings,
