Will WHMCS platform integrate with a Wordpress Multisite?

Still_(o)-(o)_Awake

Question

Does anyone know if this WHMCS will work on a WP multisite?

Is there a way to partition the domain registration, hosting and domain products I offer using enom to my domain website. For example, http://www.domain-hosting.com and the remaining products I sell like business cards, mailing lists, SEO monthly services, etc to remain on my main website, ex. http://www.main-site.com? Can WHMCS handle this type of installation and if so, how the heck do I configure it to do this?

Obviously there are a number of questions that arise out of an installation of this type like:

1. How would the billing work with this type of situation? Could the bills for domain related products be sent using company name A and when other products are sold use company name B?

2. Would there be two separate mirrored databases or one that is shared?

3. I am certain that this would require some sort of customization, is there anyone who feels like they could accomplish this task in a short amount of time and without breaking my piggy bank!??!!

Thanks, could use anyone’s help who has done something like this or has thought about something like this.

:-)

Here is a more detailed list of the items I would like this software to do (if possible):

Here's what I want to do with your platform, please let me know if this is possible:

1. Handle all Domain registration, transfers, etc.

2. Integrate with Enom as domain provider

3. Integrate with Enom's Mobi site and offer that as a product on my site.

4. Handle all billing and invoicing - automatically.

5. Accept payments using multiple payment gateways, PayPal, authorize.net, google, etc.

6. Offer additional products other than just domains like SEO services, backlinks, on-page & off-page optimization, etc.

7. Offer Print related products like business cards, brochures, etc.

8. Once a customer signs up and registers a domain they automatically get

a WordPress sub-site created and have access to the basic themes I choose.

9. Another product would be that the customer could UPGRADE their themes

to the Premium theme section for a reoccurring monthly fee to use those themes.

10. Pay monthly to access certain widgets that become active once they pay the monthly fees.

11. And the customer should be able to pay a setup fee if they want me to set up their WP site for them instead of doing it for themselves.

12. Have a working FAQs section

13. Offer a support forum where questions can get asked / answered.

14. Create a custom looking PDF Invoice.

15. Create leads, generate quotes and convert them into accounts.

16. Offer multiple sub-admin accounts where I can pick the level that this person can see or do?

17. Coupon / discount system where I can generate special pricing or incentives.

18. A way to send mass emails to the entire customer base or filter based on lead versus customer.

All of this needs to integrate with my dedicated server using Plesk 8.6 (will be upgrading server by the end of this month so it will have Plesk 10) control panel or I guess your panel will communicate with Plesk and complete these tasks.

Do you offer a way to manage the administration via my iPhone? How much do you this will cost to accomplish? How long will it take once I give you the green light?

Thanks,!

John,

Thanks for taking the time to answer all of the questions I have!!

I need a couple of things clarified.

1. For item #3 you answered “No” to the mobi site available at Enom. But you answered yes to any product enom offers, I’m a bit confused, please clarify.

2. Am I allowed to install your application on multiple site that I own and not for my customers or to resell the product?

3. For questions 8,9,10 do you have any PHP programmers that know your system than can help me integrate this solution?

4. You skipped question 15, please respond.

Lastly, I noticed you said that Plesk is supported, but what I want to know is WHO is going to set up and integrate all of this for me? I can build the WP site, but I need help with accomplishing all of these items (aside from the custom PHP programming that I need).

1. To goMobi product can't be sold automatically with the eNom module, but you can still bill clients for it using WHMCS and then order it manually via eNom's website.

2. You'd need to buy a separate licence for each installation.

3. We undertake custom developments, so feel free to open a support ticket with your requirements and we'll let you know if it's possible and provide a quote.

4. Sorry, the answer is yes.

5. You would normally do all that and our documentation guides you through step-by-step, but you can order our professional services and have us do it for you instead: http://whmcs.com/services.php

John, thank for your insight. Here is my final question: How much will this cost?

You stated in item 3 that "I should open a support ticket with my requirements and you’ll let me know if it’s possible and provide a quote” Well this is the ticket and my requirements are listed throughout this discussion, now all I need is a price to accomplish the custom PHP programming and integration. Also on another website they offer a “supporter” plugin which claims to handle the way I can charge for the upgraded themes, additional storage, etc. I’m wondering if you can use that framework / foundation of that plugin and integrate it into my site as well. Here is the url to the site: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/supporter

Thanks again for your quick response.

Q1. I would like to know if it is possible with WHMCS if I could create custom products that include custom items. Sometimes I have customers who want certain things then I want to package those together and have they use the my site to pay for everything. And these custom products I don’t want to show up on the general site, but just to be sent to that unique customer I am doing the project for.

Q2. Is it also possible for these unique and customer products to have a pay upfront or pay a deposit on the account then make additional payments based on some criteria the customer and I agreed to? For example, I meet with customer and decide to do web design for $100. I ask him to pay a deposit of $50 then pay $25 ever other week until paid? Or the option to pay it all upfront?

Q3. As for domain registration with Enom, is it possible to have ALL or only certain select accounts to have their domain registration show up under my company name and NOT the customer’s? In some cases I offer package deals where the domain registration is included but they must pay me for hosting or designing, etc. In those unique cases I want the domain name registered to my company name and not the customer. Is this possible?

This isn't a support ticket, it's a thread on our community forum. WHMCS staff check here occasionally but a quotation is a private matter so we won't provide quotes here.

1. Sure you can create hidden products and set the available quantity to 1.

2. WHMCS requires payment in advance for all products. If you wanted to arrange x payments of $y I'd recommend a billable item instead: http://docs.whmcs.com/Billable_Items

3. Changing this setting would affect all customers, it isn't possible to select certain clients for it to apply to.

4. When you buy a license from a reseller you will lose these advantages that you do get when buying direct:

1. You would get lower priority support

2. You would not have access to our client area for the purpose of software downloads/upgrades

3. You would not get access to the free Enom/ResellerClub & MaxMind accounts we give to clients.

4. You would not be entitled to have a second free license for development

5. You would not be allowed to become a WHMCS licensed reseller yourself

6. You would need to submit any license requests, changes and billing issues to your reseller and that may take longer to process.
