Jared
Hey I did a forum search and could not find any posts with similar issues so I hope this isn't unique because those can be difficult to solve. I installed WHMCS in the domainname.com/accounts/ and I can access the admin panel just fine but the home page landing page of the cart is blank. I have setup the all the settings and even tested a few things by importing existing WHM accounts and all appears to be working fine. Why would the front page or client area of the site be blank? It simply shows; Powered by WHMCompleteSolution Logged in as Administrator | Return to Admin Area ~ Jared
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted February 10, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted February 10, 2011 Please ensure you don't have a php.ini file in your /accounts directory as this can cause problems.
Jared
Yeah there isn't one in there.
laszlof
turn on display_errors in your configuration.php, that should show the actual error message if any exists.
Jared
Ok here is one for those experiencing the same thing. I produced NO errors and there was no error log. I enabled display_errors and it didn't bring back anything when I tried to load the landing page of WHMCS. What I did was go in and look and make sure my configuration.php was correct and check the time stamp on all files. Everything was dated the day and time I installed the WHMCS. There was one exception. the templates_c had a different time stamp so I backed it up and uploaded the new one with the index.php file being the only thing inside. I refreshed the home page of the WHMCS and it came back. Not sure why. But it now works. Also in the old templates_c are what appears to be session type files or smarty template files of some sort. Anyway, thought I'd share! Jared
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted February 14, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted February 14, 2011 The permission on your /templates_c directory was probably set wrong, it should usually be CHMOD 777 writeable per the installation instructions.
Jared
Yeah I think it was a broken install initially. Permissions are changed for sure however. Thanks again. Jared
