SilverNodashi
Whenever I login to my WHMCS incorrectly it will block me on the first attempt and I get the following message: Your IP 196.210.184.x has been banned Ban Reason: 3 Invalid Login Attempts Ban Expires: 17/01/2011 09:55 Interestingly, that was on the 3rd failure attempt. So, I tried via one of our Windows servers and got the same error: Your IP 66.197.167.x has been banned Ban Reason: 3 Invalid Login Attempts Ban Expires: 17/01/2011 10:02 BUT, this was on the 1st failed login attempt. Those 2 IP's doesn't have anything in common yet WHMCS now block all failed login attempts immediately. Why is this?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 18, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 18, 2011 Edit your admin row in tbladmins and set the logginattempts value to 0.
SilverNodashi
John, I think you miss the point. As soon as the admin login fails on one IP, any other IP trying to login is also blocked. Surely the admin login should only block the "offending IP", and not every login attempt?
